Battle Creek Silo-to-Sign Conversion
Description of the project
The purpose of this project was to re-purpose a 15′ diameter concrete silo into a circular backlit sign for the new owners.
Concrete Cutting & Breaking Co. wire sawed the entire circumference of 10′ thick concrete wall in one pull.
A special angle bracket was fabricated so the wire would pull through on the desired angle.
The cut portion was initially held in place with an excavator while cutting progressed, but after it was released the piece stayed in place.
The cut portion slid down easily with the assistance of an excavator.
