Wire Sawing
Curb Sawing
Openings in straight back or rolled curbs can now be sawn for a fraction of the cost of curb and gutter replacement.
Slab Sawing
Dust free sawing up to 40″ deep is available using gas or up to 15″ deep using electric equipment.
- 40 h.p. Electric saw cuts up-to 15†deep
- 7 h.p. electric saw can be carried down stairs, cuts up-to 8†deep
- CCB built sidewinder saw cuts up-to 24†from curb face.
- CCB built sidewinder saw cuts up-to 24†from curb face.
- CCB built deep saw cutting 29†deep, with 66†diameter blade. Maximum depth is 32†with 72†blade.
Wall Sawing
Walls can be sawn flush with adjacent surfaces such as floors or adjoining walls. Cuts up to 32″ deep can be made from one side, or a maximum of 64″ from both sides.
Core Drilling
Core drilling from 3/4″ to 60″ diameter, any depth. Larger diameter holes are available using our wire saws.
Bridge Parapet/Barrier Wall Removal
Sawing bridge parapet walls for removal offers several advantages over breaking:
- CC&B designed 100 h.p. curb saw will saw cut flush with deck, up-to 19″ deep.
- Walls are cut into manageable sized pieces with CCB built, extra-length, deep saw.
- Median barrier removed for temporary traffic cross-over.
- Re-bar is cut from both sides allowing wall to be broken free at cold joint.
- Curb/sidewalk section is removed to increase roadway width and allow for two-way, partial width bridge re-construction.
- CCB built side-winder saw cuts up-to 24†over from curb face without use of ramps.
Bridge Deck Sawing
Brokk Demolition Robot
This remote-controlled, electric, demolition robot is specifically designed to optimize the breaking power of it’s powerful 440 lb. hydraulic hammer.
This machine performs high production demolition with the operator safely standing up-to 300’ away.
Weighing in at just under 4,000 lbs. this machine folds up to fit through a 42†wide opening.
Maximum overhead reach is 13’+ and digging depth with a bucket is over 6’.
CCB provides the necessary 480v 3-phase power to operate this machine via truck-mounted generator.
GPR Scanning
When job site conditions require a reliable, non-destructive means to locate targets within concrete structures prior to drilling, cutting or coring, Ground Penetrating Radar Scanning is the tool of choice.
Field-proven accuracy for locating rebar, post-tension cables and conduits makes GPR scanning invaluable in these situations.
GPR works by sending a tiny pulse of energy into a material and recording the strength and the time required for the return of any reflected signal. A series of pulses over a single area make up what is called a scan.
Different materials reflect signals at different speeds and rates, when viewed by Concrete Cutting & Breaking Cos. trained operators most metallic object or voids are identifiable.
Fieldwork typically requires one operator. Imaging results are generated on-site for immediate mark out
of targets in the selected area. The inspection can be performed on one side of the slab, which permits
slab-on-grade scanning. Some common applications of GPR include, but are not limited to:
• Locating reinforcing bars
• Locating post-tension cables
• Locating metallic and non-metallic conduits
• Detecting voids beneath slab-on-grade
• Slab thickness and cover depth to targets
Diamond Grinding & Texturizing
- Diamond grooving is used to add traction and aid drainage to slippery slabs.

- Diamond texturizing creates a long-lasting non-skid surface where concrete is smooth and presents a slip hazard or additional traction on ramps is required.

- Diamond grinding to eliminate toe-stubbers, ridgesk, and high spots can be performed with gas or electric equipment.

Egress Window Wall Sawing
Straight, accurate openings are sawn from the outside. CCB never needs to enter the basement. Dust-free, wet sawing minimizes clean up inside basement. Concrete slab can easily be walked out and dropped in hole. Resulting opening is ready for framing and window installation the same day.
